reason i ask is b/c i always thought that one could never
ever carry ANY type of knife on board an airplane. (my
husband seems to agree, since even HE can't carry

apparently, the officer you spoke to seems to have
misstated the law since, according to my husband,
"i, as a private citizen, can carry a double edged
dagger complete w/a hand guard hanging on my belt
in plain view all day long and it wouldn't be a
violation of any california penal code section.
does that mean i won't get arrested and/or convicted?
no, there are many ignorant law enforcement
officers, prosecutors, defense attorneys,
and judges out there. if placed in this situation,
