The discussion below about the recent death after the inwater recompression attempt reminded me of something I had been meaning to ask.
I saw a show recently about some folks climbing Kilimanjaro. One of them began experiencing altitude sickness, so they whipped out the portable chamber and recompressed the person until their symptoms subsided.
I don't recall if they said what the depth limits of this thing was, but it sounds like it might have interesting implications for a dive boat.
Is this impractical, either due to pressure limitations or cost?
