Boy do remember! Everytime i'd come home from a day at Redondo, it'd be a heaping dose of rubbing alcohol and soap and whatever else only marginally worked. The floor mats in my parents' 1966 Mustang were permanently smudged with tar from al those trips. A few years ago while hunting for crystals and fossils near sunken City on the PV sea cliffs, i saw a tiny bit of congealed tar in the sedimentary rocks there.

Half of me says: too bad Bush doesn't want to stick around for 8 years while the other half says: on the other hand, he lost Calif anyway, and would likely lose it anyway no matter what, so go ahead and drill!

BTW, has anyone ever actually seen the tar ooze up from the sand, while diving?
