So, it is for trim, not for streamlining?

I understand you saying that DIR divers extend their arms for trim purposes. Does that mean it is not done for streamlining purposes?

I'm talking recreational daytime open water, no scooter, no HID light, current or not. Arms STRETCHED forward into a straight position, not holding the arms somewhat forward because the arms are holding something that you need up there and not somewhere else. I mean arms stretched like the freedivers do it, holding nothing in their hands. For streamlining.

Maybe that's not an issue with DIR because for that purpose, they use DPVs?

I understand the trim issue. It is not what I mean.

BTW, I checked some pics in the WKPP foto galleries and had problems finding divers with their arms stretched forward like I mean it.
