Well, late winter dives of near 2 hours can cool even me, but usually I am quite comfortable in a wetsuit. Just at a glance, drysuits seem like more hassle and I would be afraid that I would lose the feel of the water... How do they hold up to rocks and urchins in tight quarters? I often take spines in the leg when I get in tight.
All those fishing lines got me to get a line cutter, but I've never used it. Mostly the lines only get tangled in the corner of my goody-bag.
Funny about your LED. What color is it? Mostly at night the fish seem to be dozing and ignore my light.
