and there's absolutely nothing wrong w/being more
streamlined--that's why i LOVED the backplate
rig when i borrowed it courtesy of mhk last
year.
i loved it so much, i went out got my own rig.
= : )
my point to gerry at the end of my previous
post only raises the point that there probably
isn't a 'need' to present a seminar as to why
'dir' is applicable or not to rec diving--one
should just decide how they want to dive, why
they want to dive that way, and then just
dive.
i'm sure if you discuss the issue of streamlining
w/those who don't subscribe to 'dir' exclusively,
they will most likely agree w/you and take steps to
streamline, but i'm personally not expecting
a specifically tailored discussion as to why
'dir' is the way only way to go in rec diving
since i haven't gotten a satisfactory response
yet, even when it was promised. that's all.
dive 'dir' here and/or dive 'dir' there, it doesn't
matter really--just be safe and have fun.
taking in the info, becoming more knowledgeable,
and then deciding for oneself how to proceed
is really the way to go; waiting for someone
to be convincing in an argument or waiting for them
to present something they promised to talk about but
didn't, is just fruitless.
