"...DIR advocates that your buddy carries your redundant air supply just by being there."

please explain to me, marta, why carrying extra
air/gas is wrong or bad?

thus far i have not heard/read a convincing argument
against taking extra air down.

part of being self-sufficient, in my opinion,
is to have a redundant air source in case in case in case.

btw, if some shit did happen and my buddy is not
right there, i can still calmly switch over to
a redundant air source until i could reach my
buddy and abort the dive.

if my buddy is out of air, God forbid, and did not
come w/his/her own redundant air source, then
i have one to hand to them in that event--why should
we both be depleting off the same source when
there is an extra source?

there is nothing wrong or bad when it comes to
carrying extra air. please, explain to me why
you or others like you think it is...

or at least tell me, marta, why you personally don't
like the idea of taking extra air down.

kelphead.
