MHK, I walked into Reef Seekers the other day and I handed Billy a check for the Chamber Challenge and I jokingly said that I wanted to hit MHK where it hurts, in the wallet. Billy, was so appreciative to receive that donation I felt like doing more. So I booked a day boat for Chamber day and I plan to buy raffle tickets. I went on to ask Billy about treatments at the Chamber and he said about 25 average if I'm not mistaken. I asked him if my DAN insurance would cover the treatment. Bill said that any insurance money goes back to LA County, covers hellicopter rides, etc. and not to the chamber. The Chamber has to operate on a fixed budget and fundraisers like this one. He also commented that if the chamber wasn't there that the chopper rides would be at altitude to get to an inland hospital and not directly over the water. That is a huge benefit for the victim. Please add any corrections or additions.
