I dont have ant diagreement with what you've said....I think it is being idealistic to expect people to police themselves. non OE trained people go "in" all the time. I think some of us are trying to save them from themselves but like you said "Why don’t we let people make their own decisions and live, or sometimes not, with their own consequences?" I would really lIKE that! Natures screening process BUT for some reason every time some IDIOT gets hurt or killed everyone ELSE has to pay the price too. I do NOT have an absolute answer, I do think that as DIR becomes more known, it may help those that want to be better off but nothing can help the idiot (that IS what makes them "idiots"). If enough people have problems using the "Reef" then the "Wreck" will be closed, not fair to those that took the time to be informed. So the political answer would be to have heightened requirements to prevent that. It also affects the ability to have new Reef/Wrecks established.
