My wife is starting to get serious about her underwater photo. I would like to move her into a digital setup (the film savings alone would probably cover in a year or two). But here's the rub.... The only cameras I see in the diveshops are either the uber-cheapies (mostly), or occasionally a really expensive one.

Do you guys carry this stuff? Are there any photogs out there who'd be willing to sport me some advice about going digital? I'm thinking of getting her a nice Christmas gift (maybe a bit early). We mostly dive in Monterey (macro territory), but we'll be going to Fiji next summer.

So, all you digital photogs out there, what do you use, why did you choose it, and if you had it to do over again, what would you do differently (if anything).

Thanks,

JRM
