we have evolved past a rock and a sheepskin full of air.
If you choose to dive with 5 1/2 cylinders running GO FOR IT but this person has a chance to start on EVEN ground, Not digging out of the hole.
NO ONE in their right mind can possibly say there is anything LESS efficient about backplate when compared to Jacket style
You keep going on about you dont want all that clutter DUDE! BackPlate HAS NO CLUTTER!! jacket has clutter on the shelf in the store!
Jacket has ten times the drag coefficient in water
Jacket has twenty times the snag factor
Jacket has less strength and durability
Jacket has NO adaptability (one lift/single tank)
Jacket (most)have "kelp-dump" velcro weight systems
Jacket has 1/10th the stability
Jacket has fewer solid attachment points
Jacket has silly zippers
Jacket takes up 3 times the space OR MORE so travel is rediculous with it
Jacket has cumerbund which inhibits free breathing
Jacket (quality one) costs more!
There is more but ...
Lets hear one Factual negative about Backplate VS Jacket other than YOU don't have one or "It's for cave diving"
