Sure a bunch of us bicker, but only one gets upset and antagonistic with GUE (GLnSD). Everybody knows from whence DIR came and how to find the web pages to read its history and predecessor technologies.
I am not sure GUE has an arrogance problem, but some of their divers do. But then again I have seen a bunch of egotistical types wiht NAUI, PADI, etc. As for strict adherance, for certain dives, it makes perfect sense to have all team members interchangeable in gear, training, and personality under pressure. I understand their position.
As for me, I have problems with arogance from all arrogant divers including those who would shout: "...NO ONE IS OLD ENOUGH TO HAVE LEARNED FROM EXPERIENCE"
