Items like this are fine, and have their place. However I see a dangerous trend of divers depending on their gadgets instead of good diving technique, skill and practice. For example, how many people do you know that dive off their computers, yet can't even read the tables anymore? What's going to happen that one dive where the computer craps out on them? This device, and all devices, should be used to augment our diving, not replace skills or let us become complacent in our diving fundamentals.
