Wayne, almost all of these (Low enders) Regs. work at 30-40 feet. The problem is that when you put a load on them they crap out. They don't have enough flow when it counts. Put yourself in a current(or any increased work load) with one on these units and you will soon be short of breath and having a CO2 problem.
There are no started sets in scuba, you want the best breathing machine you can get!
