To be more accurate its the area of the diver that will determine the volume of water the diver will displace.
Not the capacity, unless of course the diver has a large capacity to beans which could lead to a large volume of gas build up which in turn could lead to an increase in area due to the increase in size of gut.
But then again, the diver could "expel" the gas......
