My kids are having a great time in the ocean this summer. Spending countless hours boogie boarding and surfing and snorkling. The ocean is teaching them in her own way. My daughter poped up after a 3 set wave and said "I couldn't find the top so I opened my eyes and saw only brown water" she was excited and smiling when she said it (8 years old). Alicia has been swimming since she was 1 year old and the water is like home to her. My advice to all who dive is to get comfortable in all situations....Spend time at the beach playing with a pair of fins in the waves when they are big. Sure they take you down but you always come back up, learn to enjoy the surge and current and power and you will be a happier swimmer, surfer, diver...
