I understand the point you're making about ditchable & non-ditchable weight & agree on that part. It's nice to have the option of dumping some weight if need be.
The numbers used for buoyancy loss through wetsuit compression seem to be excessive to me.
I've never had a suit compress to thinner than 1/8", which may be translated into losing only half the buoyancy.
Time to start installing blocks of high density foam in place of keel weights, eh?
