On a typical weekend, we dive in 40-degree water to an average depth of 75 ft and a mean depth of 55 ft. We dive on air, singles, and make two dives a day, Saturday & Sunday, averate dive time approx 45 minutes. To my knowledge, no one in our group had gotten bent. I agree with the basic premise of the article, that we all could use a little more training and with your recommendation for surface breathing and adjusting before the decent. Where did you get your information or how did you determine that deep diving start at 60 ft? Isn’t the threshold closer to 100 ft?
