You would ask that question. Actually, the regulation reads that: (g) Diving for crustaceans: In all ocean waters, except as provided in Section 29.05,
skin and SCUBA divers may take crustaceans by the use of the hands except divers
may not possess any hooked device while diving or attempting to dive..
I wish it were more clearly stated, but the law is interpreted that you may only use your hand, no pole spear, no hooked device, no nothing exept your hand. So all you folks that jump in with pole spears and always come up with bugs but no fish, watch out.
