I called PADI today to ask about what will happen with the divemaster/master instructor Zacharias Araneta. I was forwarded to Celeste Tanguay in the legal department.
She told me that they only have authority over training issues and this was not a training issue since it involved certified divers diving on their own. She then told me that PADI’s quality assurance department was looking at the situation. She also told me that any decision they reach regarding their member would be private.
It would be interesting what criteria they use for people to end up on the PADI Quality Management Report.
