The California Department of Fish and Game is developing a contract for an automated license data system. Building the system will require re-engineering how the agency operates.
California wants to comply with federal mandates so it can participate in the recreational portion of the State License Match System. The state also wants to reduce the risk of losing federal money for fishing and wildlife programs and provide data to other department programs.
The system will be used to speed collection of revenue from licensing agents and to generate new revenue.
