I have to agree that some divers are cheapskates or are ignorant/uninformed about the need to tip the crew. We need to get the word out to our fellow divers.
I believe $10 a day is minimum (unless the crew is terrible and I've never experienced that situation) and that $15 to $30 is justified for some of the better and helpful crews (like did they save your day by coming up with a spare set of fins?). This is an incentive to get and receive good service.
I'e seen the tip get built in and the service is mediocre. So give a GOOD tip for good service!
