Hey Everybody,

A buddy and I went diving at Redondo on Thursday night. Vis was 5 ft. above the 25 ft. depth and 10ft. vis on the wall and dropping back to 5ft. at the bottom of the wall around 70 ft. depth or so. Temp was 52 at around 80ft. Anyway, got a question for everybody... At the 20-30ft. level, we saw tons of critters burrowing into the sand, looked like something akin to a crab, shrimp, or lobster. What are these things? Once they burrowed, only tentacles/feelers/wiskers stuck out. What's the dealyo?

Also, saw a lobster, numerous sheep crab, a couple octos, and and a 1ft. bat ray that kept coming at us like Joe Pesci in Goodfellas. He was a calm little critta' with some hutzpa comin' at us like that! All in all, a fun dive followed by some good saki and eats at a place called Tomisushi (or something like that) just east of the dive site.
