Jeff, just take the springs off the Scuba Pro's and go back to the straps. Rubber straps are more comfortable and easily replaced when they wear out. Then you can donate your single Apollo fin to the pool toys basket.

Spring straps work better with a drysuits because gas will shift to and from the feet of the suit. Insulated socks worn inside a drysuit are baggy and the boots are often larger to accommodate then. Spring will give and pull out the slack when needed. Also the spring straps don't break like rotten rubber ones will, which could be detrimental in extreme diving.

Unless your diving dry or doing extreme dives I believe you'd be much happier wearing the Scuba Pro fins with the standard rubber straps when diving the Apollo's. The Scuba Pro fins are negatively bouyant which helps a diver trim-out and are much more powerful at thrusting water. Retailers like to sell more expensive plastic fins because they make more money off you. Unfortunatly to many consumers fall for that.
