I agree with you. But, should an dive leader instruct all divers to hand weight belts and pouches to the crew members at the end of each dive? That is what I read in the general context of this. Or, is it an issue of students in a class being required to remove their weights as a skill while the instructor assumes the crew will take them back on the boat?

I have a question forn Captain Tim. What were groups you had those days when the instructors told you that it was a PADI standard practice? Any particular club or dive shop?
