I just got back a few hours ago from ab diving up on the Sonoma coast. It was actually a North Coast Divers club dive but I didn't stick around for the picnic. I had a newbie ab diver with me, first time for him freediving period. I ran him through the basics and before long I had him freediving to 15 feet and pulling abs. We were out there about 2 hours and he got his limit. I was very proud of him.
The vis was super at about 25 to 30 feet and calm. The swell was only 3-4 feet on the outside which is nothing, and on the beach in the cove this equalled about an ankle slapper. This was Stillwater Cove that we were diving for anyone who knows the area.
We were layng on top of the water and looking at abs 20 feet down and had them picked out even before we breathed up and dove.
Man I'm glad I live up here!!!
