In the spirit of Paul Meister |
Posted by Elaine on August 10, 2006 at 01:06:34: In Reply to: Elaine's post inspired me...hope it inspires others - come clean-up, dive and have FUN! posted by Walt on August 09, 2006 at 21:25:01: This semi spontaneous clean up exemplifies a small part of what Paul Believed in - that ordianry recreational divers can do all kinds of things. In this case - it is taking an ordinary day and making it a clean up event. Dodie Meister is working on a "summary of Paul" to describe who Paul was and what he was about that hopefully I can post. People who didn't know him probably don't know why he was so special. Just because it is a fun bit of diving history, I'll try and get a copy of the old "Skin Diver" magazine article that was written about a project done at Whites Point to post. An interesting sideline to the article is that one of the participants in that project (and I only know this because I saw the background data that wasn't published ) was a young Bob Talbot - the now famous Whale Tail Photo man.
