The days of the old shop maybe old fashioned to many in this day of Internet sales, but we need them to stay in busiess or will not be able to dive. They do not make money on air, so to make ends meet, feed their families, stock gear, and hopefully have a return on their investment, they need to have enough markup on their products. The Internet shops sell cheap, but cannot provide support or AIR, or quality instruction.

If the industry dies, it is we divers that killed it. Maybe dive economics needs to be taught in our courses!
