When I was in the Marines, I trained at Coronado for a Water Safety/Survival Instructor Course(1980). Every day, they WORKED us. The Seals shared the same training tank (swimming pool) we did. Everything we did, they did twice as much; plus they did it in full uniform (cami's). We walked everywhere; they ran carrying boats. We slept; they didn't. I gained an enormous respect for them. I always would partake in the good natured teasing about the navy...but not the Seals. Since then, anytime I hear someone say they were a Seal, I ask questions. No one should be allowed to say they were if they weren't. One of the reason this gentleman sounds legit, is he didn't get mad that I asked. I still think real Seals appreciate the respect that others show by challenging someone who says they were a Seal. So, to all Seals (past or present) reading this, you have my respect and gratitude!
