After a few experiences in which it was challenging to get back to our boat underwater, I'm thinking about buying a DiveTracker:

I was considering the less expensive model, the Scout, that sells for about $300 and is supposed to be good for up to 1,000 feet.

I seem to recall that some of the diver.net regulars have used these. Any reviews? Is the Scout powerful enough for your dives? Do you see any problems if we wanted to attach the transmitter to the anchor line close to the anchor (in order to return to the anchor) as opposed to hanging it off the side of the boat (as I've seen people do)?
