White urchin collection site?

I have a CA scientific collecting permit for 30 white sea urchins (Lytechinus pictus) to use in our lab in Seattle. I'm going to be in the Santa Barbara to San Luis Obispo area next month. Can anyone suggest a shore dive or a boat charter that would be good for collecting them? Are there any scuba shops with small private boats for hire with a divemaster? I'm not bringing a dive buddy...
