Its the Western Petrol Assn member I have to wonder about. And that's the connection to this MPLA. Aren't you a little bit curious about why a petroleum industry person is on a commission that makes policy for use of the oceans where there is, coincidently, a huge reserve of petroleum off-shore?

Why should the other people of California have any right to say something about how fisheries are managed in Point Arena? Do they fish? Do they own land there? Do they have jobs there? Heck, few people even know where its located.

I don't believe ivory tower greenies and political bag people have any right to close entire areas to fisheries that can be better managed by local people. These local fishermen depend on well managed fisheries - they aren't fly by night operators. They know best.
