Moat Creek is a popular surfer spot (for its waves); it also has a lot of boulders along shore. Taken far out to sea doesn't sound like just hitting the head on the rocks; maybe getting knowcked ouit and getting towed out by the sleeper's retreat. Always watch the ocean along the North Coast, even when beach combing. I'e seen waves come completely into the dry beach on a calm sea day.
