About 3 years ago, a couple of friends of mine went up to Fort Ross area in a boat they took out of Bodega Bay. Later that day when they came in and were driving home they heard on a news report on the radio that four teen age beach combers were hit by that rogue wave and two of them got sucked in off the beach and died. This happened at River mouth at Jenner. It was the same wave. The North Coast is nothing to fool with.
