It is with deep sadness and a very heavy heart that I inform you of the death of Mark Tulin. He collapsed today while helping out at the Avalon Underwater Clean-Up and had immediate response by Baywatch Avalon and Avalon Fire Department medics, but he could not be revived. Mark was one-of-a-kind. His energy, generosity, and spirit was unmatched.

He was a dear friend to me and his passing leaves a deep hole in my heart, as it will in all who knew him. I have been in contact with his daughter Samantha and Sam's mother Lani. When they make plans for Mark's service, or lets me know of any help they may need, I will pass along information along to you.

As Mark taught in his Critical Stress lectures, people will respond to tragedy and grieve in different ways. One of the ways to deal with his death is to talk.

Take care of yourself, think of Mark, and hug someone you love.
