Here is a really cool site about ancient history of California including the Chumash, Nicoleņo and Tongva peoples.
In these articles, Early Californians refers to Californians, including inhabitants of Santa Rosa and San Miguel Islands, going back over 10,000 years.
One article is about the natural petroleum used to seal their ocean going canoes. Another article is about the ancient
wetlands of Los Angeles.
