No they are no outdoors... they are in my basement... I have a large saltwater aquarium in my house... 200g tank and 400g in my basement as a sump... I grow Rhizophora mangle or red mangroves...
I keep the base submerged in saltwater and slowly move them up to "train" the roots to grow... I also have a tide simulator that rases and lowers the water level every 12 hours... I use a 250w MH light... IMO most important thing when growing mangroves it to wash the leavs daily with freshwater... they expot quite a bit of salt and this can burn the leaves if not removed.....
