I have both. The horse collar has more drag than the Oxycheq 18 lb. wing.
I have been using mine for more than a year now. I find the old-fashioned backpack to be far more comfortable and easier to use than a tech back-plate for a single tank. For twins a tech back-plate cannot be beat. I like to have the BC for photography, but I still prefer just the backpack, sans BC when I hunt.
