I have had several discussions lately with shop owners, boat owners and diver's and despite this effort I am still a little confused about exactly why Nitrox has not taken off here in Southern Calif. as it has in many other parts of the country.
For example, in Florida the Nitrox diver is the norm, if you come on the boat with air they wonder why.. Many of the liveaboards have reported significant increases in use and even Cayman came around after a while.
So any thoughts as to why it just isn't that big of a deal out here???
The common response that I have gotten from the diver's was that it is not that readily available. The common response of gotten from shop owners and boat owners was it isn't requested that much.
Is it a dog waging the tail syndrome, or have I missed something???
