The thing is, I've never heard anyone say that Nitrox on the YUKON was a bad thing.
Generally the arguement is that the starting point is that Nitrox is voodoo gas or snake oil, whether it's on teh Yukon or not.. So I was trying to turn the table and point out that even if you have an anti-Nitrox view, the OxTox issue is substantially mitigated with respect to a dive with a hard bottom.. I used the Yukon as an example for a variety of reasons:
1) It's local;
2) Most diver's on this board can relate;
3) For the most part the Yukon and/or shops and boats servicing the Yukon have a pretty easy access to Nitrox;
4) It is the perfect dive to illustrate the benefits of Nitrox;
just to name few...
So my intention was to take a generic position that I disagree with and apply a specific local solution...
