not to flame or anything, but do spearos really have a disproportionate impact on larger fish than the anglers or commercial fishermen?
And, could this be parsed into nearshore fish like Sebastes sp. versus pelagics such as dorado or yellowtail?
I can understand detrimental effects on benthic dwellers but open water pelagics? Or does the idea of no-take zones pretty much address only the demersal species?
FWIW, i don't shoot Sebastes, sheepsheads or those sorts of things, their populations have just been too chewed up. Yellowtail and WSB maybe!
