There is nothing magical about the charge rate of a locksmith. Is that what you are during your day job? A locksmith?? So what???

Calculate what it costs you to haul up all the sunken stuff. Then multiply that by some factor greater than one.

Obviously, it doesnt make any sense to charge more for salvaging the goods than the goods are themselves worth. Nobody in their right mind would pay more than what they can get in exchange or new anyway. Maybe a moron would, but even a moron wouldn't care if you are a locksmith in your day job.

Also not as obvious, it makes no sense to charge less than what it costs you to do the salvage. Only an embicile would charge less to do work than what the cost to his of doing the work is.

So think about it. The answer is somewhere in between (1) what it costs you to do the salvage and (2) what the recovery value of the salvage is.

Go figure!
