It seems to me that if watered down classes were not offered, then the students couldn't get them...
When a potential student walks into a shop and is told, here take this CD-Rom home and watch it, by definition the stage is set and it's implied that the value of the training and the quantity of the instruction can be reduced to a mere cd-rom and then it spirals downhill from there..
