You're wasting your time... We are STILL waiting for him to produce his manifesto as to why DIR doesn't apply to our diving.. His mind is made up and he keeps promising to produce his *brief* description as to why.. It's only been a few weeks you would think given that he promised to *briefly* write that which he has already concluded that it wouldn't take several weeks to do...
We went down this road and he believes that by having the gauges on the wrist/forearm that somehow precludes you from hunting for bugs so he prefers the console method...
Just for clarity:
Wrist mounted compass on your left hand;
Bottom timer/depth gauge and/or computer on your right arm;
SPG clipped to your left hip D-ring...
By doing it this way with you light in your left hand you are free to check you depth/time/computer without needing to switch hands/break stride and you'll keep your trim..
Also, by having the depth gauge on your right arm you can dump your inflator on your wing and watch your depth gauge at the same time..
