The way I look at it, there are two kinds of Scuba Police. The first, is dive stores, they enforce rules that have been set-up by the diving community (hydro, VIP, Cert. Cards, Etc.).
The other Scuba Police are the organizations that set-up the dive charters (there job
should be to screen the divers on the charters and call a dive if it is unsafe for the diver).
This has work will for alott of years(as long as everyone does there job).
The problem we have today is that we have dive stores, that are not really dive stores, but
big sporting good stores(that have staff that know very little or nothing about diving).
We also have organizations that don’t screen there charter boats (they only take money).
And we have DM’s that don’t have enough guts to call a dive.
