Thanks dirdiver. That URL makes it so easy for me to answer someone with
such an apt handle. I can just show the paragraph of conversation in its
entirety and not only does it clear up the issue with no need for tweaking,
it also just proves my point nicely. Either out of malicious dishonesty or
failed reading comprehension, you have changed the meaning of what I said
in a certainly malicious effort to embarass me. now lets read the whole
thing, starting with MHK's statement about swim trim and my responce:
***
>This isn't a complicated thing to do since if you are using proper
>trim your hands are right in front of you anyway so all you need to
>do is glance at your wrist..
Not when swimming tight on/in a reef. You describe swimming like you
would in open water, say like a plane. I swim like a helicopter and
am usually touching something. I like to brachiate. It gives great
speed and combines locomotion between legs and arms... Some people
do dive differnently from you. Remember, the hunters are out there
racing each other.
***
Now MHK has been passing this off the same way as you, with ridicule,
but when shown in the context it was written, its meaning should be
clear to both you and MHK. Even though I assumed it was malicious and
it is dishonest for MHK to reference this helicopter issue this way,
I didn't say anything because I actually was a bit amused. Also, he
was busy doing the same type of misrepresentation in regards to my
weighting, which had ceased to amuse me.... and looking at the posts
this is also when he was claiming that I gave advice to a newbie (uh,
who I never did responded to) on diving the Moody.
So, I think a basic ability at reading comprehension would suggest that
this comparison between airplane and helicopter clearly refers to a matter
of a diver swiming in a fairly straight line in a water column (the airplane) verses
a diver moving up and down, side to side, and forward to back (the helicopter), using
hands and fins, as the reef terrain changes. It no more implies that I
have a helicoptor rotor on my tank or am spinning in circles any more
than the sentense before it implies that MHK has a propeller on his
wings. Yours is a willful misrepresentation.
This is a typical DIR method of dealing with disagreement and ascribes
perfectly to the description in my post before yours.
>Their standard methods include harassment, character assasination,
>dishonesty, mis-representation and BS. They demonize their detractors "
I think you fulfilled most of that description rather well.
Well, as I said, when you want to join the rest of society and accept
society's standards of honesty and courtesy, come talk about diving.
Otherwise, just go away.
Enjoy, seahunt
