They are long overdue.

For too many years OUR waters have been treated like a playground for commercial and recreational fishermen. The callous objectification of the LIFE in in OUR waters has been going for so long that many have lost sight of the fact that this is an ecosystem, struggling to survive.

Our generation has seen the best of what our waters have to offer; many took the best. That is what has driven the need to establish these MPA's. As the rest of the world's fisheries are steadily declining, we of all peoples should be sophisticated enough to protect OUR waters from the depletion that IS occuring right before our eyes.

I hope these proposed MPA's are only the beginning. There is much more work to be done in order to reverse the damage that has taken place.

We have a moral obligation to share the beauty of our waters with those who come after us. The more beauty we share, the more honor we bring to ourselves!

Count me as being 100% in favor of any and all future closures.

Brad
