Good to hear from you. I'm not sure whether I'll be able to attend the 21 &
22 due to schedule conflicts, but I'll make it if I can.
Karl and I have been discussing the deep air stuff, as well with Steve Morrell so I hope they will reconsider the invitation or hope that an opening in the schedule prevails. I want to make sure that everyone understands my position with respect to PADI and the RecTec program.. I know Karl and think personally he is one helluva nice guy, however he and I are on polar opposite sides of this issue so when Steve told me that he believed I was distorting the PADI position I felt the best way to avoid any confusion was to invite the head of the PADI RecTec program and allow him to speak for himself. I've also provided the diver.net/bbs address and invite them to share their views and correct any perceived distortions.. I'm very comfortable with my position and contrary to what some on this list would have you believe I would LOVE for PADI to get on here, or join us in Avalon, to defend their position... I'll debate to the ends of the earth the dangers of deep air and it should be noted FTR that we go out of our way to make ourselves available to discuss our positions..
Anyway, this demo is shaping up to be one of our largest yet so if you haven't already contacted Terry to sign up for the in-water portion please do so.. Irrespective we will have someone available from 9:00am to 5:00pm topside to answer any and all questions and you will not need to sign up for that, nor will you need to be a certified diver for the topside portion.. Our only requirement for the in-water stuff is that you are currently certified and we [ well, actually the insurance company has requested] that a waiver will need to be signed..
