I don't think that's what's intended with these PADI programs...

The PADI Adventure Diver program is not intended for those who have never scuba dived. In fact, both the Adventure Diver and AOW courses require BOW certification.

Rather, the Adventures in Diving program is focused on in-water diving experiences that can count toward your Advanced Open Water certification. The Adventure Diver certification requires the student to complete three dives (peak performance buoyancy, underwater naturalist, deep diving, night diving, etc.). PADI AOW requires the completion of five dives (deep dive and underwater navigation are required). There is also requisite course study materials and knowledge reviews that are complete during these courses. Typically, you can complete your three Adventure dives in one day. The five AOW dives usually require at least two days of diving, plus additional classroom time.

The focus of both of these programs is to promote new diving experiences for certified divers (under the instruction of an SI). Again, however, neither of these two offerings is intended to take someone who has never dived to an AOW certification in just two days.
