Padi is the largest diver certifying agency out there, probably (...I'm guessing...) about 75% of the dive shops certify through PADI. I would not cancel an SSI class and change to PADI just because they are
bigger. SSI is recognized world-wide. ALso PADI has been accused of lowering diver certifcation standards to increase their marketshare of diver certs. I'm sure someone come along and post a slam against
